Fall in love with the addictive, suspenseful love story between a teenage girl and a vampire with the book that sparked a "literary phenomenon" and redefined romance for a generation (New York Times).
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn.
Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife -- between desire and danger.
Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.
It's here! #1 bestselling author Stephenie Meyer makes a triumphant return to the world of Twilight with the highly anticipated companion, Midnight Sun: the iconic love story of Bella and Edward told from the vampire's point of view.
"People do not want to just read Meyer's books; they want to climb inside them and live there." -- Time
"A literary phenomenon." -- The New York Times

This is the fist series of books that I started to read. This opened my mid to continue reading other books. Thank you Stephenie Meyer. This story has a lot of twist and I enjoyed that. I cant wait to see what the love between Bella and Edward will turn into.
  • Abusive relationship

    By SE9870
Horribly written, Twilight not only is bad, but contains an abusive relationship between the main character, Bella, and her boyfriend, Edward. Unless you seriously want to waste your time, don’t bother.

i started twilight as a joke, but i became unintentionally in love with both this book and edward Cullen. The plot is good, their romance is sweet, character development spot on. This is one of those series’ that you HAVE to read before u die tho. just try it! ;))))

I have heard a lot of bad things about this book. I’ve never read it but it sounds terrible and yucky. I hate the plot and it’s too love crazy.

So, I don’t really like criticizing other people’s books, (as I want to be a writer myself someday) but I feel that something should be said about the fandom these books have collected. I was like twelve or thirteen when my mother bought the Twilight saga at a book sale and gave them to me to read. I was so excited, because this was supposedly the most epic teen romance of all time. However I was in for an epic disappointment. The story lagged, never picked up, was written poorly, and had some of the most lifeless characters I’ve ever come across. I remember nothing about Bella and Edward, other than the color of Edward’s eyes, which Bella described in basically every page. However, I read the second and third books against my better judgment, hoping that at least it would get better. It didn’t. I can’t tell you the plot of New Moon or Eclipse even if my life depended on it, because I remember nothing. I decided to stop reading by the time I got to the last book, because I couldn’t get through it anymore. Another thing that concerns me is the warped view of love that the book portrays. Right off the bat, we have Edward sneaking into her house, without her or her father’s knowledge, to watch her sleep. Honestly I’d flip the heck out and get the police involved if my lifetime crush did that to me, much less some guy I’d just met. Why is this passed off as love? However my conclusion is: read it if you want, like it if you want, quite frankly that’s none of my business. If you’re looking for another teen series that is substantial, then I recommend Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, or the Hunger Games. They are cleverly written with a building plot, and heaven forbid, character development.

  • sweet love story:)

very sweet love story. at the beginning, the story started out slow. i felt that the author could have eliminated some of the beginning. it seemed as if everyday at school was the same as the day before. but, i like how the beginning gives a lot of background information on the characters. as edward and bella’s love story progresses, i was completely drawn in. however, some parts were a bit confusing. especially in the beginning, edward’s emotions were up and down constantly. one day he would be happy, the next frustrated. but as the story goes on, his emotions even out. the author did an amazing job describing both edward and bella’s emotions, even though the story was based off bella’s point of view. overall, an amazing book! i will definitely be reading the following books and watching the movies.
  • Amazing

Whoever wrote the review bring me is... insane and obviously too immature to understand the plot. I feel this is an amazing book, and the characters go through an emotional journey throughout the saga. If you like The Mortal Instruments, this is the book for you. It’s not arbitrary that it won all those awards!

I really enjoyed this book. I had already seen all of the movies and I decided that I wanted to start reading the books. Everyone said the books were so much different. Which kinda scared me at first. But this book was different in a good way. Bella is a little more crazy about Edward in the book than she was in the movies, which some people didn’t like and it put them off. But I actually quite like it haha. Learned a little bit more about Carlisle in the book than in the movies which I really enjoyed. I really enjoyed this book. If you love Romance novels and Vampires then this book is definitely for you. 5/5 Stars for me 😊😊😊😊
